What's the difference between RAP® and RAP®2?

RAP®2 was created to handle the added demands of the European vehicle market and to continue the expansion of RAP®. The major difference is that the RAP®2 has larger hard drives to handle the larger European OE applications as well as a 90–amp batter maintainer, which is required for most European vehicles. While the original RAP® kit will continue to work for only GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia and Nissan.

I already have the original RAP® do I have to get the RAP®2 kit?

No, you are not required to get a RAP®2. Just keep in mind that the capabilities of the RAP® kit will remain with GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia and Nissan only. If you want to do additional makes, you will need the RAP®2.

RAP® and RAP®2 look similar how do I tell which is which?

The original RAP® kits have a serial number that starts with the number "1".
Ex.: RAP100000

RAP®2 kits have a serial number that starts with the number "2".
Ex.: RAP200000
