Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) implemented a secure gateway module on a selection of their 2018 and newer model vehicles.
For those vehicles with the secure gateway module, access to certain diagnostic functions requires registration and authentication through an approved device for all aftermarket scan tools.
With the release of Diagnostics Application software version 1.14.0 available on DrivePro ES and DriveCrash devices, Opus IVS introduces its solution to access secure gateway modules on FCA vehicles. The solution requires the FCA Aftermarket Tool Registration system known as AutoAuth to allow WiFi enabled diagnostics platforms to perform secure gateway functions.
All FCA secure gateway compliant solutions require the device and user registration through AutoAuth website.
Please review the video and article below for step-by-step instructions on how to access Secure Gateway on FCA vehicles using both DrivePro ES and DriveCrash.
